Globe Call Center Agents to Speak in Cebuano?

Globe has issued a Media Advisory inviting Cebu media to the launching of its Visayan Customer Hotline next week.

It will be the first Philippine telco to introduce Visayan/Cebuano-speaking Customer Relations Officers from two call center companies–Aegis People Support and Tech Mahindra.

Just a little hesitation on it. Are the call center agents will read in Cebuano their notes when responding to customer support requests? I’ll get the answer to this at the briefing next week.

The media briefing for this first trilingual hotline service shall be attended by Ernest Cu, President and CEO of Globe Telecom, Peter Bithos, Sr Advisor of Consumer Business of Globe Telecom, Joe Caliro, Head for Customer Experience of Globe Telecom, and Bong Borja, CEO, Aegis People Support.

Ernest Cu is also expected to announce Globe Telecom’s Q4 2011 Consumer Business Results Highlights and Q1 2012 Consumer Business Plans during the briefing.
