“The BIG GUY Gets an UPDATE“, there goes Cherry Mobile’s latest after-sales offering. It sounds BIG and catching for those who have possessed a Titan and want their unit to get an update with the latest Android OS–the Jellybean.
But there’s a catch. The update to Jellybean is NOT free to everyone. One should present the official receipt of the unit when it was purchased to get the update free of charge. Otherwise, a P550 will be charge by the Cherry Mobile service center. Nice business! That’s one reason why you have to keep your receipt with you forever or at least a couple of years.
If you’re planning to visit the nearest CM service center, be sure to be there early because the updating will run up to 2-3 hours. The service center at the SM North EDSA closes at 6:30pm just to finish every customer at mall hours.
