Multiply Cuts Social Networking & Blogging Features

Multiply, the e-commerce site operating mostly in Southeast Asia with offices in the Philippines and Indonesia ceases its social networking and blogging services for its members.

In an email to its members, Jack Madrid, Country Manager of Multiply Philippines says multiply members who maintained a blog within the site may avail of the export tools for the migration of the blog content to other sites.

Blog content may be migrated to Blogger–a blog platform by Google. For users of social network features (blog, video, photo, etc), their content may also be migrated using the export tool.

Users have only until December 1, 2012 to use the export tool. Multiply is also trying to make migration to other platform like Tumblr and WordPress possible in the next few days.

Earlier, Multiply CEO Stefan Magdalinski announced that the company is shifting its strategic focus to online shopping & selling.
