LINK–Massive targeted cyber-attack in Middle East uncovered
The malware–FLAME has been there since 2010 but security firm Kaspersky reported recently that the malware appeared state sponsored and has been collecting data mostly from countries in the middle east. Iran suffered most infections.
The Flame is twice as large as the other malware–Stuxnet that was targeting the controls of the nuclear facility of Iran. Flame also hit some targets in Israel/Palestine region, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
