There’s no stopping to hacking spree both by alleged Pinoy and Chinese hackers in relation to the tension at the Scarborough Shoal. Just 2:30pm today the web site of the Department of Budget and Management is defaced by hackers who claimed coming from China.
The DBM’s home page is converted into a chat room by the hackers (see image below). However, the DBM site is back later this afternoon after it was temporarily diverted to its old site moments it was hacked.
The hacking spree began when Chinese hackers defaced the web site of the University of the Philippines on Friday. The next day Pinoy hackers have started its “response” by defacing several Chinese sites including government sites in China. Yesterday, three Philippine government sites were attacked by means of Denial-of-Service from IP addresses assigned to Chinese networks.
Malacaniang is calling for an end to hacking spree as it will not help resolve the sea dispute at the Western Philippine seas. However, sentiments from pro-hacking individuals posted in Facebook are calling Pinoy hackers to retaliate.
