The Visayan Electric Company (VECO) has launched its SMS service designed to facilitate bill inquiry for its customer base.
Access code to the service is ASKVECO(space)BILL(space)(account number) and send to the following numbers:

VECO’s Communication Manager Ethel Natera says they are giving special gift to the first 100 customers who can register to the SMS service beginning today. There’ll be 100 winners for each mobile network.
I have registered my VECO account as soon as it was announced this morning and i received immediately my bill in SMS as well as this message:
“Congratulations! You have been rewarded for registering in ASKVECO BILL. Your receipt code is: xxxxx. You may claim your prize at VECO SM on July 27 to July 30 at mall hours from 10am to 7pm….”
VECO will expand their SMS service to include other concerns like electricity theft. Earlier, customers can also inquire about outages via SMS.
